This Twilight Garden is a project that conflates documentary, realism and the sublime. It is a narrative retelling of my depression, artistic burnout, and eventual healing. Abstract ‘self-portraits’ are combined with liminal natural spaces, to present an intimate visual diary of reflection. Intended to be displayed through fleeting slide projection, the work is cyclical, allowing the images to exist in their own space-time, drawing the audience in as I gradually return to the camera.
